Community Initiatives for Social Ecology (C.I.S.E.) engages with jobseekers, Family advocates,
local businesses, and other stakeholder’s to promote inclusion and employment pathways.
Community Initiatives for Social Ecology (CISE) is a new organisation in Co. Kilkenny. We emerged from the efforts of family and community advocates who help people with different abilities become active and connected members of their communities. Inspired by the International Camphill Movement, CISE believes that communities thrive when we recognize each person’s value and potential to contribute.

Employment Pathways
When someone is looking for a job, they might have the skills but not be fully prepared for the workplace. The first step in the "Employment Pathways" is to co-design a suitable starting point. CISE does this by offering hands-on training and guidance with mentors.
CISE meets participants where they are. When someone explores a job opportunity, they might have skills but aren't fully ready for the workplace. The first step in our “Employment Pathways” program is to help them get prepared with hands-on training and mentor support.
If someone is more interested in training and exploring their options, we’ll work with them to create a personalised path to employment.
This program targets people with disabilities aged 16 and over who require a range of support to prepare for a job. When looking for a job, participants might have the skills but not be work-ready. The first step in the "Employment Pathways" is co-designing a suitable starting point. CISE does this by offering hands-on training and guidance with mentors. The activities also focus on helping employers understand and build their capacity to hire and support people with disabilities.
