Pathways
CISE supports participants who may be job-able but need support with being job-ready for a specific role.

CISE addresses potential gaps within the employability pathways or other barriers to community engagement by providing a job readiness program.
This is an important building block for sustainable employment and community engagement.
Participants who engage with Employment Pathways or Community Engagement programs have their own preferred learning style and all training structures take account of this. A range of preliminary supports focussed on personal development are also available for participants before taking up an employment or community engagement pathway.
Discovery Program
This program is planned around co-developing a vision for a person’s life. The process includes sharing aspirations and mapping goals, this can be supported through friends and family circles. The discovery program can be used within the Personalised Budgets “Vision Building process”.

The process is supported within a small group or individual discovery workshop using a series of conversations or / and activities and other augmentative supports as required. The result is a co-designed visual map and narrative of the preferred pathway. This can be the basis for a Community engagement planning process.

For some participants this interface is enough to start with and it can be used as a “stand alone” motivating/ planning conversation for your employment or social role valorisation pathway.

Alternatively, some participants will wish to engage with additional CISE programs. CISE uses creative and augmentative approaches for exploring a person’s ideas. Conversations can be illustrated through images prompted by the participants and linked to several complimentary programmes.

Gifted Programme
The program titled “Gifted” explores and supports a participants specific interest through developing employment or social role valorisation ideas within their respective communities. This is usually linked to a specific goal which a participant wishes to follow and is based on a passion or interest which they have.
The Employment or Community engagement journey starts with discovering your interests or passions.

John has a gift for drawing and produces original illustrations that catch the eye of local artists, John is interested in developing a range of cards for special occasions , he shares his gift with his local circle of support. John is guided to develop some prototypes and with support from a community connector , he establishes some local outlets through a market and café. The cards sell and John receives feedback from his local community, his gift is shared, and his employment journey starts.

The “Gifted “project is central to the social enterprise developments at CISE and promotes collaboration between participants and the wider community for the purpose of re-imagining the roles we can all play within our locality. The local community can enhance social engagement through linking people to natural local networks. The starting point for “Gifted” is the individual who has a unique gift or passion which they hope to develop through a micro enterprise project or socially valued role.
Vocational Pathways
This programme includes training and engagement within either a local start up enterprises or a supported employment pathway. This is relevant for participants who are ready to commit to a role of their choice. This is often supported through “feeling at home” or a sense of purpose within a role and social group.
This program provides an “Employment Engagement Programme” which has the specific intention of creating a sustainable employment position.

Job placements are an integral part of this program, and the structure offers open work experience with the specific aims of facilitating a 3-4 stage structured employment pathway. Structured supports are also offered to the potential employer.
